Holcim (Romania) has ordered new shunting locomotive from MDD 3-00 series.

Holcim is a global supplier of cement and aggregates and operates more than 400 plants all over the world. Holcim (Bulgaria) is Express Service customer for many years and we have delivered a lot of shunting locomotive for Holcim plants in the region. MDD 1, 2, and 3-00 shunting locos operate in Holcim plants in Bulgaria and Serbia and now we got an order for Campulung cement plant in Romania.

Holcim (Romania)'s new shunter will be of ouralready well-known MDD 3-00 series but will not be equipped with a command cab. There will be two modes of control - radio remote and from stand on board of the vehicle.

New shunter from MDD 3-00 family has been delivered to Gips AD - the only Bulgarian and the largest gypsum mine and factory in eastern Europe.

Express Service won a gold medal on Autotech 2009 exhibition at Plovdiv International Fair.

We exhibitted there MDD 3-04 shunting locomotive that was built for Pleven cement plant of Holcim (Bulgaria). Our vehicle was awarded because of its good technical parameters, fuel efficiency, low environment footprint, and safe operation.

MDD 3-00 series of shunters are designed for speeds of up to 60km/h. They have a comfortable cab and feature radio remote control as well. MDD 3-00 locos are powered by two diesel engines coupled to hydrodynamic transmissions.

Just after the exhibition the loco from the picture was handled to the customer in Pleven.

The International Exhibition of Transport Equipment – AUTOTECH will take place from September 28 to October 03 as part of International Technical Fair – Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Express Service will traditionally participate in the exhibition. Our visitors will be welcomed on open ground XIII-20.
